Foluso Phillips is the Executive Chairman of the Phillips Consulting Group, a firm engaged in business and management consulting, with offices in Nigeria and South Africa. He is a qualified Industrial Economist, a chartered Management Accountant of the U.K., and a chartered Accountant of Nigeria. He is very active on the corporate scene, and sits as the chairman, Nigeria Economic Summit Group; chairman, Nigeria/South Africa Chamber of Commerce; chairman, Interbrand Sampson West Africa; and chairman, Web Liquid West Africa. Mr. Phillips is a director, Special Olympics of Nigeria; director, Vigeo Holdings (a Power & Energy company in Nigeria); advisory board member, Africa Leadership Academy (an African Leadership Senior School based in Johannesburg).

The firm has offices in Nigeria, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Mr. Phillips is a director of several companies, charities and NGOs in Nigeria. He holds directorships in Nigerian-South African Chamber of Commerce, the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Special Olympics of Nigeria (SON), African Business Roundtable, and is also a member of the Advisory Board of Africa Investor magazine, an adviser to the African Leadership Academy, and a member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.

Funke Bucknor-Obruthe

A highly regarded public speaker who gives lectures at seminars on Entrepreneurial skills and Event planning and Management. Event planner with 12 years experience in the leadership role (CEO), bagged quite a number of awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Events Industry and Several other Nominations and Awards.

Zapphaire Events runs an internship programme, offers training for Event Planners and Ushers(in the Zapphaire Training School), and has a subsidiary called Decor by furtullah.

Funke Bucknor-Obruthe has been featured in several publications most recently Forbes woman Africa and she was also featured on CNN (Inside Africa)–Weddings in Nigeria. A writer, who recently published and launched a first of its kind book called ‘THE ESSENTIAL BRIDAL HANDBOOK’ for the African market, with emphasis on Nigeria. Funke recently began her own You tube series “Funke Says”, the series is designed and tailored in such a way to teach people every aspect of the events planning process, the challenges they would face , and the critical decisions they would need to make. Funke holds an LLB degree in Law from the University of Lagos and a BL from the Abuja Law School.

Anne Ngozi Agbakoba

Her early career started in banking, where she headed Corporate Communications, worked her way through to Treasury, and pioneered the Private Banking concept at both Fidelity and Standard Trust Bank, both in Nigeria. Anne subsequently switched to the Arts, and brought her talents to the United Kingdom where she worked as sub-Editor at the 180-year old West Africa magazine in London.

In 2000, she went purely entrepreneurial, co-founding Computer.com, Nigeria's first ICT newspaper. Here, she spent 10 years growing the newspaper into a major insight-and-idea publication for IT enthusiasts and industry professionals. Next, Anne pro-actively founded Bank & Entrepreneur Africa,with the vision that mono-product economies on the African continent would soon turn to entrepreneurship as a long-term solution for economic survival, and recognise entrepreneurs as a national asset to be nurtured.

Ms. Agbakoba has a strong penchant for social enterprise, and has woven this concept into the distribution mechanism for Bank & Entrepreneur Africaby engaging ladies from disadvantaged communities as entrepreneur-vendors of the magazine. She is multilingual (proficient in Igbo, Yoruba, English and French), with a varied educational background: a Bachelor's degree in French (University of Nigeria); a Masters in French (University of Lagos), and a Masters in Banking & Finance from the University of Paris, Sorbonne.

He worked as Product Director in two leading Software Companies based in New York, USA where he led the development and commercialization of several web-based products over 5 years. Wole Founded and he’s currently the CEO of NetPlusDotCom, a technology company that has delivered multiple payment and e-commerce solution to the Nigerian market. Wole led a multi-million dollar capital raise for NetPlusDotCom from a Silicon Valley Venture Capitalist as well as a Nigerian based Private Equity Company.

He holds a B.Sc in Computer Engineering from OAU and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
